📖 Our Story
YOWAMCA — The Young Women and Men's Creative Association — was founded in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, with a simple but powerful belief: young people are the most powerful agents of change.
What started as a small community gathering of passionate youth leaders has grown into a fully-fledged NGO serving thousands across Rivers State. Our founders recognized two urgent needs: empowering youth with skills for the future, and protecting the environment that sustains us all.
Today, we run four core programs reaching over 3,000 young people annually. We've planted over 5,000 trees, trained hundreds in digital skills, and created safe spaces for creative expression.
